Upcycled Embroidery & Stitches began with a single needle and a simple idea: make every Christmas present by hand.
What began as a holiday project became a genuine passion. Tamme Benzing discovered that embroidery felt like painting with thread, with every design becoming a canvas and every color a brushstroke.
After a year of creating, one needle was no longer enough. Tamme moved to a 15-needle machine, opening the door to more colors, greater complexity and new possibilities. Today, a larger two-head machine powers a working studio built on that same love of craft.
The studio carefully sources high-quality pre-loved denim, wool and cotton for their character, weight and embroidery potential. New quality T-shirts, sweatshirts and hats are also sourced for fresh custom pieces made around each customer’s idea.
